New AC

I got to school and went to my first hour class (which is newspaper). The teacher said that the class, along with another class, were going to Boise to take a tour of the Idaho Statesman... That's fine but I didn't know about it until right then. Had I been in class like I had anticpated, I was going to work on my senior paper, since the rough draft is due tomorrow *gulp*... But the Statesman place is really neat... they had the Olymic cauldrin that was in Boise that was light overnight... it was sitting in the lobby area with ropes around it so that people wouldn't touch it. Then we got to see the offices, the newsroom, where they make ads, where the plates are made, even the presses themselves (which were not running... if they were they would have been deafening!!) We came back to school about 15 minutes into 5th hour... just a wee bit late yeah, but I'm a TA 5th hour, so it really didn't affect me that much.

I got home at 1:15ish, and there was a heating/cooling truck parked in the front of my house. I walked inside and here's this rather portly man in his 50s, missing like half of this teeth, with his hair pulled back in a pony tail who's banging sheetmetal together for the ductwork. I thought that the electrictions had arrived to hook up the unit outside, but they hadn't. Like 5 minutes after I get home, the electricians arrive. Now here's the odd thing... the electricians didn't have the equipment to cut the power off to our house, so tehy had to call Idaho Power. The heating and cooling guy was still here, and two of the electrician's partners came, followed by Idaho Power. So all at once here's 7 vehicles parked infront of my house (the other 2 were my dad's cars... the old Dodge and the new Taurus). After a phone call a guy from Idaho Power came out to cut the power to my house. Now, in my area, the power lines go underground to those green transformers that you see sitting on the grass... then the lines go underground to a junction box, where they split up amongst the homes. So the guy from Idaho Power opens up a service lid in our lawn. No, I don't think that we get our electricity from the water meter... lol... apparently my dad and I didn't have the heart to tell him which service lid was the one for the power. So he finds the right one and guts off the power to our house. Great... I couldn't work on my paper at school, and I can't at home. After the electricians put in a new access panel for the electricity, they gave Idaho Powe a call and at 5:30 we got our power back on, after a guy from Idaho Power was literally (okay... almost literally) cussing at the power meter because he couldn't get the casing on right after several attempts. But now all is fine... I got most of my paper done (I can finish the rest tomorrow during 2nd hour) and for once I'm pretty relieved :)

Just this evening, after getting our power back on, my sister was in my parents room (that's where the computer is) and started playing a video game. She had it up real loud, and even though I kept telling her to turn it down, she'd turn it down then back up a few minutes later. While I was typing the computer locked up (fortunatly I saved my paper) and while it was resetting my dad got on it and started playing cards... *grr*... I told him that I needed to use the computer so that I could finish my paper, and then he starts this "yeah go ahead and send out your fourteen emails and dink around on it for two hours before you work on your stuff for school" ahe.. geeze is it that time of hte month?? Good lord... I'm sorry but it's been kinda hard for me to work on my paper since it was assigned last Friday. I had to get up and drive to Caldwell at 8:30 and then again at 4... my mom wanted me to clean my room WHICH I DID on that day as well... and she wanted me to show my grandmother where my brother worked. On Sunday I worked on it for quite a while, and yesterday I was only home for 10 minutes before I had to leave for Weiser, and I didn't get home until 8 and my dad wanted to get to sleep at 8:45. And my parents are pulling THIS crap on me?? GIMME A BREAK!!

Paper work... both school and softball

This morning was one of those times when I woke up 5 minutes before my alarm went off... and that was nearly two hours after my brother woke me up. He had to get up at 5 this morning, and he had to turn on the hall light (which meant my room was fully illuminated) so that he could see where his clothes were. And last night I told him to take all of his clothes that he was going to wear and put them in the bathroom, so that way all he has to do is wake up and close the door... so that I can get back to sleep. Eh well... I guess that he's just one of those people that just won't learn...

I had to take softball stats in Weiser today... but their Brandon didn't show up. Which is a bummer since he's really hot and all... lol... But Weiser's field is really nice... their dugouts face east, so I was in the shade the whole time :)

Oh... tomorrow we get our centeral air units put in!!

Yet another somewhat boring day

I changed my template yet again :) Hopefully I'll keep this one for a while... lol... hey and no banner ads!! I suppose that you'll have to live with pop-up ads though :-/

My mom, sister and brother went on a little excursion to the boonies in Owyhee County to see a museum of some kind... I stayed home to work on my paper and to claen my room up some before Tueday. And my paper is almost done!! *yay* My room still needs some work, basically all that I had to do was move stuff off of the floor in it so that the door to the crawl space could be accessed. And I did some spring cleaning on the side too :) Which didn't hurt at all.

And Scott comes back from Canada tonight *woo hoo* but he won't be at school tomorrow, like I said yesterday. Dustin was on AOL like 30 minutes ago, we were talking some more, but I had to have dinner real quick... and now that's done with so I'm typing this up. When I'm done I'll hop back on, hopefully he'll still be there!! lol...

Finally, (today was a BORING day... much didn't happen... lol) who would have known that going into Google and typing in "teach her to use the vacuum sexy pics" would give a link to my page. hmm... hey if you want those kinda pics, yer not gonna find 'em here, okey?! hehe... it's really wierd how all of a sudden these people just happen to wander across this page by typing in gobbily-gook like that. Anyway, yeah I have some emails to send and a guy to talk to, so until next time folks!!

Interesting day...

I had to get up at 7:30 so that I could take my brother to work... so I'm kinda tired.

I got online at 10ish this morning and Dustin was on, and we talked for about 45 minutes on AOL. Although it was very nice getting to know him, my mom get after me if I'm online too long, because other people might be trying to call. I told him that I'd be on at around 8, so we'll have to see whether or not he's on then. Also I checked my counter stats (I can see the hostnames and IP addresses of the people who read this, including you... hehe) and apparently if you type in "tornatos" (note the incorrect spelling) in the search box in Google, my page shows up on the first page of results. lol... and I didn't know that!! And later on someone searched for "maturnity leave" on Google... went to the 4th page of the results and went to this page... lol... so it's like all of a sudden Google picked up stuff in this page or something... it's something that really suprised me actually, and in a way kinda opens up a pandora's box for me, since it makes it easier for people in my area to find out about me *yeeks*.

My step grandmother came over for a quick visit (she's my mom's stepmom, so I suppose that "step grandmother" is as good of title as any), and I took her to where my brother works so that she could see what it's like.

I got a package from a local photography company out of Meridian, and they want to take my senior pictures. lol... hmm... is now a good time?? I mean... I graduate in four weeks... but I must say that had I had the money, and if they sent me that back in August or September, yeah I may have went through them. And not to mention right there on the envolope they had samples of photos that they had took... and there's a group of four guys from Fruitland, two of whom I kinda have this little crush on. lol... hey this bi boy can dream... can't he??

Well I suppose that I'll post this, see if anyone is on AOL, then work on my paper some more. Oh... looks like we're getting a good storm out there... hmm...

Hostnames...

A few weeks ago I found this website (click here) which tells you your IP address and hostname... well right now my hostname is a010-0011.bois.splitrock.net... splitrock?!?! lol... okay that's a neat name...

Oh... one more thing...

Channel 6 redid their opening titles and music... I really don't like it... change is nice yeah, but it's their third time in a year that they've changed it...

Okay... I'm rambling now :X

Finally got in touch with Dustin

This morning when I was getting ready for school, my mom said that on Tuesday of next week, we'll be having centeral air installed *woo hoo!* Only bad thing is that the air compressor (or condensor or whatever that box with a fan thingy is called) has to be placed right under my bedroom window. That's no biggie, I mean, I live right by the highway, so I'm used to noises. And the pamphlet said that it runs at 71 decibels... hehe... and here's the people bickering about the power plant saying that they can't live with a constant 41 decibles OUTSIDE of their homes coming from the power plant that's a full 1/2 of a mile away. Riiiight...

During my yearbook class I got started on my rough draft of my senior paper. Is it a bad thing when the paper is supposed to be 5-6 pages long, and your introduction (minus the thesis) is a full page long?!?! Hmm... lol... yeah I think my English teacher will have to butcher that thing down. Speaking of which, I had English today... which as usual drags on forever. But in the end today was a pretty productive day.

I got home at 1:45 or so and hopped online. I was downloading some songs (okay one of them was by Robbie Williams... yeah yeah yeah I know) while I was cleaning up my room and doing some laundry, so I kept my AOL profile on "away", but I did notice that Dustin was on, he was away too. At 2:15 I was done, and about that time Dustin sent me a message. So we talked for about 45 minutes or so, then I had to get off the internet because my mom was home and she needed to make some calls. All in all Dustin seems really nice, and he sent me his pic and he's pretty hot too! :) Now the wierd thing is that we were both at that dance two weeks ago... we remember seeing each other, but we never did talk to each other. So that was really odd.

And what I want to do this weekend is to try and figure out how I can add a comment feature, where the (few) people who do read this can place comments... *scratches head and ponders...*

Long day

Today was one of those days where nothing really happens... school went by as usual, and I had to take softball stats in Payette. And that's where the day went on FOREVER!! lol...

The team and I left at 3:15, and we got there at about 4. Both JV and Varsity teams tooks the same bus, but they had to play in two different areas. When the Varsity game was done at 6:15, we all had to wait in the front of the school for the bus. At 7:15... a full hour later... it finally came. Some of the girls went home with their parents, and the rest took the bus back. So there were about 7 of us sitting in the grass under a tree just talking about stuff. And actually it was really interesting. The whole team (minus the coach) went across the block to Texaco to get some drinks and snacks. So yeah... the bus eventually came and now I'm at home typing this up :)

I have the AOL screen name of a guy in Meridian that Brandon gave me, when I was just on hte internet, he was away/idled :( So I'll send him an IM with a little blurb about me and my email address... because I really want to get in touch with him.

Well it's getting late, and my dad has to hit the sack here pretty soon, so I'll just leave it at that. G'night folks!

03/24/02

Okey... now for the big post :)

Like last week, today I got yet another shoutout from my compter teacher... all I heard was "ub" (it could have been an ill-fated "dude", his little word that he uses alot... Hehe... tomorrow I'm gonna throw him a curveball. Normally I walk out of the subdivision and cross the highway before I get to a 5-way intersection (which is really confusing in of itself). But tomorrow I'll stay on the other side of the highway, and cross it right as I get to school... that way if he wants to shout at me from his car, he'll have to roll down the front passenger side door... haha... I'm I just evil or what?!?! And he just does it for the kicks, he's not doing it to piss me off, so as long as he keeps it civilized, I'm fine with it. If anything he's embarassing himself because he's sticking his head out of his Subaru while driving 25 miles an hour through town when it's 35 degrees out... he's drawing more attention to himself than he is to me.

I got home from a really boring day of school (English... need I say more?) to find out that my dad had today off. Last night his boss called and said that he had to work today... for only 6 hours. So he got home right as I was having lunch at school. Oh... lol... during lunch I had to go to a teacher's classroom to finish up on the school's newpaper. I got everything fixed, and I was writing stuff down on a piece of paper for the teacher. When I was writing it down, she said, "Hey Mike, I didn't know that you were left handed! When did you do that?" I just broke out laughing, and she soon followed. But the odd thing is my third year of having her as a teacher, and she just now realized that I'm left handed. Like with my 5th grade teacher... with likle 3 weeks left in school, he finally noticed that I'm left handed. lol... some people...

During my American Government class, my teacher said that Jonna Weber would be coming in to speak to my class. Oye... Jonna "Burn-Down-the-Houses" Weber?!?! Yeah like I'm gonna be in the same room with that windbag while she bitches and moans over that power plant. To her, any chance to speak she's given is like free time to protest the power plant. I haven't heard anything on where she stands on the matters that she'll be representing. And she's running for my district's seat in the House of Reps. Boy I'll tell you what, the day after she gives her shpeal to my class (more than likely with me NOT in the room), I'm gonna write one heck of an opinion letter to the Press-Tribune and to the Statesman... I for one don't want someone representing me who's threatened to burn down other people's houses, who have abused point-of-orders in public hearings, and I can go on and on and on over why I don't want her in the House of Reps!! Okay enough of that :)

When school got out, my brother had to go get his paycheck, so I drove the Taurus to his workplace to get the check. And I don't know if this car is weird or what, but the power steering worked! So I did all of that just fine. And I'm not used to driving a car that has that big of a hood and trunk... I'm so accustom to my mom's minivan that it's a big shock when I drive a "real car"... lol... as I was driving home I was at a stoplight, and this guy drives up in the lane beside me. And OMG this car was HOT!! It was a gold Barracuda... I couldn't tell you the year of it though. So the driver, who's just as hot as the car, gives me this little smile while he gives his head a small jerk upwards. And it was from Washington County... that (more than likely) means Weiser!!

One of my best friends, Macy, gave me the names of some guys at her old school... which is the same one that Brandon went to. Turns out these two guys have been friends with Brandon. Small world, eh?? So if Macy can't hook me up with one/both of them, maybe Brandon can.

And my computer is finally starting to work... my brother got the scanner to work, I kinda got the printer to work yesterday. I installed the drivers for it, printed some stuff out, then 10 minutes later my computer said that I didn't have a printer.

Aaanywho... I have some emails to send out... then I'm getting ready for bed because I'm really sleepy!! Oh, because of Windows XP probably, NetZero didn't want to work, so I found hte installation file and installed it on a different drive. Now it works!! :)

Hmm... I think my school's groundskeeper is gonna get some heat...

Hectic 24 hours

Last night my brother deceided to put Wndows XP on the computer... it worked fine for a while... then everything went downhill...

Because XP wants specific drivers, the sound card, my printer, scanner, parts of the keyboard (it's one of those fancy internet ones) and my Compact Flash reader didn't work. Also, it would load up to a certain point, then lock up. My dad had today off of work, so I put the computer in his car and took it to school with me. I got to school about 1/2 an hour before classes started, so I was able to have one of the computer teachers look at at. He got it into safe mode, pecked at some keys on the keyboard and poof!! it worked!! Oh, and my dad's car lost it's power steering, so my hands are a bit sore.

Today I got the sound card and printer to work, but everything else still doesn't work. Over WinME, XP is okay, it looks MUCH different though!! The keyboard needs a new driver update, and the DVD software that we had doesn't work... Windows Media Player 8 plays DVD very badly... *lowers eyebrows in frustration*

This morning I had a very VERY weird dream... I was somewhere (my school I think...) when I saw someone in a maroon Dodge RamCharger run into a tree. There was a person in the passenger seat, another student at my school (who's name is Alan) and basically I saw his body smash into the windshield, then fall back into the seat. Then I went inside the building (again, I think it's my school) and I ran into another student, Jeremy. I knew that Alan was dead, and Jeremy saw it too... so we talked about what happened, and we agreed that Alan's time of death was 8:03 am. Then a county sheriff arrives (who I know... one of his daughters is also a student at my school) and I remember looking down at my watch... it said 8:15. The sheriff comes up to me and Jeremy, and asks us some questions (what they are exactly, I don't remember). I tell the sheriff that Alan died instantly, and that the accident occured at 8:03... then the sheriff starts chewing me out, "That's not your job, the coroner will do that" blah blah blah, basically chewing me out for just telling him stuff that I know. Really a freaky dream, thank God I don't have many like that...

I still need to fix this template... so if it's cutting of text, just copy and paste it into Word or Notepad or whatever you use.

Oh, and Scott is off for a week on a choir trip!! AAAHH!! hehe... it's okay... I'll live :)

A WalMart experince to remember/yard sale treasures/template frustration!!

My brother wanted me to take him to WalMart so that he could buy a movie on DVD. As we were leaving, I had to use the restroom. So I went in to the restroom, went to a urinal and did my stuff. As I was... yeah... I could hear a lady outside bickering at her children. Then, while I'm there at the urinal doing my business... she walks in with her kids!! I was there, like WTF?!?! I cut it off mid-stream, put my lizard back in the cave (so to speak), and I stormed out. And she didn't say "I'm sorry" or anything!! C'mon... if your a mom with 4 sons who are 5 years old or less... bring them into the ladies room, okay?? At least in there, it's all stalls!! And I'm not talking about little partitions between urinals, I mean like a complete enclosure. Ugh... some people!!

One of the houses a few lots down had a large yard sale today (and yesterday as well), and I went down to take a look. They had some nice stuff, I got an Old Navy lanyard for 25 cents. The guy who owns the house was outside about two weeks ago... ::drools::... okay that's a whole nother story!! lol... we started talking about stuff as I was looking at stuff, they seem real nice. The house that he's in wasn't talked care of very well, but he said that here pretty soon they're going to be doing a lot of work to it.

And as you may have notice, I changed my template around. I need to go through the source code and fix stuff... like the contents of these little boxes, and try to get all of these question marks and script code out. *lowers eyebrows in frustration*... I'll post this then I'll dig up the template cope and *attempt* to fix that :)

Okay... stuff I forgot

Today I printed out my graduation invitations (prehaps a wee bit late), and apparently my new printer doesn't like envolopes that well... everything printed out kinda crooked (sp?), but not to bad in all.

And also today is the 3rd anniversary of the Columbine shooting... in a way it's kinda hard to believe that it's been three years... on April 16, 1999... just a few days before Columbine... a then-14 year old tried to bring a shotgun to his school. The freaky part is that the school that he goes to is like 20 miles away from me, on the opposite side of the county. Fortunalty, no one was injured in this particular incident... just some broken floor tiles and some three inch holes blasted throught the gym doors. No one over here could have thought that just a few days later, twelve students and a teacher in Colorado... just two states away... would be killed by the hellish act of their classmates.

Anywho... I'm really tired, so after this I'm gonna brush my teeth, take my contacts out and go to bed. G'night folks!!

Still a blah day :/

I had to wake up at 7:30 so that I could take my brother to work, and here it is almost 8 at night and I'm a ZOMBIE!! lol... but I guess in the end it's worth it for my brother... atleast we both get to sleep in tomorrow :)

Still no emails from anyone... on Thursday night I sent out 4 emails... and no I'm not mad about it, if you got the impression that I was.

Tomorrow, if I have the time and patience :) I want to make my own Blogger skin... the one that I'm using right now is okay, but I want more content (links etc.), and tinkering with the template that I use right now is kinda hard to do.

Like I said yesterday, I'm a big REM fan, right now I'm downloading "Stand"... the music video is really looney (looking at the lyrics from most of their songs, the writer must have been on something... lol...)

{Chorus}
Stand in the place where you live, now face north
Think about direction, wonder why you haven't before
Now stand in the place where you work, now face west
Think about the place where you live
Wonder why you haven't before

If you are confused check with the sun
Carry a compass to help you along
Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around, so

{Chorus}

Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around
If wishes were trees the trees would be falling
Listen to reason, the season is calling

{Chorus}

If wishes were trees the trees would be falling
Listen to reason, the reason is calling
Your feet are going to be on the ground
Your head is there to move you around, so

Stand, stand, now face north
Think about direction, wonder why you haven't before
Now stand, stand, now face west
Think about the place where you live
Wonder why you haven't

{Chorus}

Stand in the place where you are
Now face north
Stand in the place where you are
Now face west
Stand in the place where you are
Your feet are going to be on the ground
Now face north
Stand in the place where you are
Your head is there to move you around, so
Now face
So stand

Close call!!

Yep, I almost got hit by a softball yet again today!! But I ducked really quickly, and so I don't remember where it went, but it didn't hit me though!! :)

And the computer teacher sub gave me yet another shoutout today as I was walking to school. I'm right there by a barber shop in town when someone yells out, "GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!!"... I look over and there he is in his Subaru wagon. lol... he's such a nut...

I sent Brandon an email last night saying that I'd call him on his cell phone at about 1:45 today... lol... yeah like that happened *whoops*... so I'll drop him another email tonight telling him that I completely FORGOT to call him. At the time I was downloading "It's the End of the World" by REM, and with one phone line it's kinda hard to be on the internet and talking to someone on the phone. Oh, BTW... I LOVE REM!! They're "Loosing my Religion" video has a really hot guy in it, as if that means anything.

Hmm... some how I got a nice misquito bite on my right cheek :/

Before the softball game, I went with my mom to the courthouse... she had to register the new car, and I had to get a proof of residensy form signed for NIC. So I got my paper signed then I went to the other side of the building to meet my mom and... yep... another guy!! Tall one too... kinda flammy... hey I can dream huh?? The DMV... lol... really not the place I expected to find some good looking guys...

For whatever reason, my enteries have been short... which I don't like!! lol... but I guess I'm in one of those ruts where there's really nothing eventful going on.

04/18/02

Geesh, these past few days have been very uneventful for the most part...

I got a shout-out from my computer teacher while I was walking to school. Yes, I am looking for a job :)

I got to drive my dads new car home from Boise... the whole 16 miles without any license plates!! Yeah, I'm a bad little misdomeaner-commiter, huh?? Even though my mom told me I was driving TOO FAST (okay, five over, big whoop) and the incredibly good breaks on the new car, I made it home just fine.

God my room is a mess... I'll clean it up tomorrow because here in a few minutes I'll be going to bed.

Jake was on AOL today for the first time in a long time... at least I think it was Jake... he never did reply to me...

JunoSurvivor (7:38:34 PM): Hey Jake :-D
JunoSurvivor (7:59:27 PM): are you there??
And that was pretty much the extent of it.... I'm sure some stuff worth noting will happen soon!! Until next time guys (and gals)

New car... DeadJournal

I was walking to school today (yeah yeah, poor me) on the sidewalk alongside the highway and some guy from his car yelled at me, "HEY, GET OUT OF THE ROAD!!" I look over at the driver... it's the sub for my computer teacher... he was just giving me a hard time. So on my way home during lunch I stopped by his room and, with a serious voice, "dude, if I wanna walk in the middle of the road, gosh darn it I will!!" He just looked at me and laughed, then he started talking to me, like he was just joking around and all.

First things first... today my dad bought a new car, but he can't pick it up until tomorrow. It's just a little Ford Taurus, I got to drive it a bit, it's really nice. I mean, for as little as he paid for it, he's not expecting anything more than just a car to get from home to work. The girl who owned it goes to the same school that Ty does, so maybe they know each other... I was just on the internet and Ty wasn't on so I really couldn't ask him.

I have like 6 of these online journal thingys bookmarked on my computer... four of them are on LiveJournal, but NONE of them will load up!! Which is fine, I mean I can always check them later.

And IdaWest bumped the power plant off for a year, which is kinda bittersweet... I can see Jonna "Burn-down-the-houses" Weber and her buddy Penny "Yell-at-the-Commissioners-and-get-kicked-out-of-the-hearing" Steadham doing their victory dance saying that they've stopped it dead in its tracks. WRONG!! There's a difference between delay and throwing in the towel... :D Not for me to worry... here in August I'll be living within 10 miles of two of these power plants... big whoop...

My poor little brother had to artificially inseminate a cow today as a part of one of his classes... so he's really feeling good now ;)

That's just about that... yeah today was a REALLY exciting day, huh?? Just need to type up and send out some emails, and I'm done for the day.

Nothing really exciting is going on...

I went with my dad into Garden City so that he could look at a car... the lady who owns it said she'd be home at 6:30. So we got there at 6:30 and she wasn't there. After a trek to Fred Meyer, we went back to her place and she still wasn't there. Somewhat dissapointed, we came back home.

My dad still hasn't talked to me about Friday night when I went to the dance in Boise... my mom knew almost a full week ahead of time about it, but I'm still not out to my dad. I don't know if my mom told my that that I'm bi, or if she lied to him about where I went... and why.

We had another rain storm agian today... and that's really just about it :/

The sun rises at 2:30 pm

*takes some Mylanta* whoa... that was some good biscuits and gravy!!

That new Sunrise resteraunt here in town opened up today, and after I got done talking to Brandon on the phone, (which was about 2:30) I walked down to try their biscuits and gravy. Within 10, 15 minutes tops, of me geting there I was sitting eating. I ordered two biscuits, thinking that they'd be small. Nope. These biscuits were like five inches around and a little over an inch thick... and that was cut in half!! So I had four of these gigantic biscuits!! And they were very very good too. All of that and a drink was like $4.75, not too shabby I'd say!! Needless to say the biscuits and gravy filled me up, so I didn't eat all that much of dinner.

And I had to take softball stats again today. It's not every day your team ends up with a 12-point spread!! The wind was gusty, and I was FREEZING!! But all in all it was worth it.

I just got back from Nampa... my mom and I went shopping for card stock for my graduation invitations. We stopped by Mac's on the boulevard in Nampa. OMG there was the hottest guy working there!! His name was Quinn (even sounds sexy)... my mom and myself were in his checkout lane, but some other lady said that she could help us on another lane. Afterwards we went to BigLots and James was working... so I've had my fair share of guys for today :D

Prom

Last night I went to my school's Prom. It was really nice... much better than last years. I drove by the convention center about four times before I realized where it actually was. It was held at a convention center/office building in downtown Merdian. Naturally I got there like an hour early, mainly in part so that I could take photos of the decorations and such. The convention center was much smaller than the old Train Depot in Boise where it was held last year, but it served its purpose quite well. Sure it was raining hard, but that seemed to make it more romantic.

There were tables off to the sides of the convention center part, and all of the tables had some candles there. The dance was to start at about 9, and 8:15 came around and no one had any matches or lighters to light the candles. One of the teachers (who was chaparoning) asked me if I would go a few blocks down to the Texaco gas station to get some matches. So I jogged down a few blocks to the gas station. As I walked up to the door, this (I'm assuming) homeless man rides up on a bike from the opposide direction. Now, I'm dressed up quite a bit... not in a tux, but some nice dressy clothes and a tie. So he looks at me for a second and says, "Dude, you've been working way to hard."... yeah... RIGHT... And I'm the one with greasy hair going down to my shoulders, riding a bike that's from the 70s (complete with a basket on the back), ripped up pants and a dirty plaid shirt along with a Levi jacket... Some people are real creeps, and quite frankly that's the first time in a LONG time that I've ever felt incredibly threatened by anyone. So I let him go in the store first, and the clerk behind the counter looked at him really suspiciously. Then I roam around the aisles, looking for the matches. The same clerk asked me if I was looking for something, and I said matches. So she reaches into a jar on the counter and gives me 3 booklets of matches. But still, that guy really struck a nerve with me... maybe it was because I was sopping wet from the rain, dressed up in some nice clothes (totaling about $75 from Sears) with a cell phone clipped onto the left side of my waist... and he though that I was too lazy to drive (which I was, plus I was parked in a good spot! I didn't want to loose it!!)

All in all, Prom was very good. Even though I was dateless :(

Hmm... what else... oh! My computer teacher, the one that I said was off on maturnity leave, her due date is today :D

And I need to send Brandon an email, maybe tomorrow one of us will call the other. And Corey needs an email too... and Kevin... and there's probably one or two more in there that need one as well...

This morning I had a really wierd dream... I forgot what it all was about, but it was really odd, that's about all that I remember...

Kinda fun night

So yeah, I got to meet Jake last night at the dance at Boise State last night. I left home at 5, and I made a quick stop at the Albertson's in Eagle to get some gum... and to pee ;) So I paid for my gum at the express lane, and the cashier (maybe in her late 60s) there just started talking to me...

Her: "So how's the traffic out there?"
Me: "Going into Canyon it's really bad... going into Boise it's fine. Traffic on State Street going into Boise is backed up from Park Road all the way to the curve in the Eagle Bypass."
Her: "Wow... where are you headed to?"
Me: "Boise. I'm going to meet some friends there, and apparently traffic won't be a problem for me."
At this time she's already scanned the gum, I've paid for it, and she gave me my change.
Her: "Well, it was nice talking to you."
Me: "Yeah, it was."
Her: "See you later hun."

So she's one social lady it seems like! See me later?? That was my second time in that store... and it's been there for at least 5 years. Eh well... There was alot more to that conversation... ALOT more!!

I got to Boise State's SUB at about 5:45 or so, and I met Jake at some computers by the west staircase... where he said he'd be. He was at a computer beside the staircase pecking away at an email. He finished it off then we went upstairs to where the dance was to be held. Geeze, this keyboard is DIRTY!! There's crumbs and God know's what else under these keys... Anyway yeah, back to Jake... so we went upstairs and he introduced me to James, who at the time was on his cell phone talking to another guy. And who's pretty hot too... One of Jake's lesbian friends came, and gosh she was SO funny!! She was teasing James about something while Jake was blowing up a balloon... she pretended to lift her skirt up (which she didn't do) so James let out this loud screech, and right at that time the balloon that Jake was blowing up exploded. And James looks very very VERY familiar... I swear I've seen him somewhere before...

Over the next hour or so a handful of people showed up, and by the time 8 came there was a mediocre crowd. The only person that I knew there was Jake, so I was really feeling like a fish out of water. Now, normally I'm a fairly shy person, and last night that got the best of me. I wandered around and I started talking to Jake when Logan (not really hot, good personality though) sat down beside Jake. A few minutes later Jake went somewhere, which left Logan and myself alone. Him and I talked for a few minutes, but some of his friends came and he wanted to go meet them. Logan really wasn't the best looking guy there, I've seen alot worse though, but he was about the only one there that had some kind of interest in me.

Around 8:45 or so I managed to have Jake walk with me from the SUB to my car. I had some stuff I had to lock up in it, and I wanted to talk to him alone... so that way we could actually hear each other. Basically what we talked about was that I felt really out of place... and having a guy there in drag didn't do much to help the situation (drag is a BIG turn-off!!). Jake and I have been talking since January, and then I meet him there and he's like family with everyone else... he went around talking to people... while I'm just moaping around... trying to break out of my shyness, but most of the people that I talked to (except for Logan, I managed to get along with Jake and Shawn only because we've been in contact over the internet) showed little interest in me. So I suppose it's one of those things where you have to be "taken in" into the group... while I was trying to barge in and expect to be accepted.

At around 9 Shawn showed up, and right around 9:40 we started talking. As with Jake, Shawn has made quite a few friends. I had to leave at 10, and the 20 minutes that we had was adequate. I met Jake and Shawn at about the same time, and while both of them could be possible boyfriends, both of them have advantages and disadvantages over the other. Shawn's more attractive, but Jake has a better attitude towards everything (life, me). I'm not saying that Jake is ugly, or that Shawn has an attitude problem, it's just a matter of checks and balances. And there were a few other guys there that I had my eye on, but like I said I was SO frigging nervous/shy that I really didn't make much of a move on anyone. Right when as I was leaving, a large crowd showed up (go figure). And I got home at around 11.

Now, for today... I have to take photos at my high school's prom, so I won't be back home until 11 or so again. Then on Sunday, I'll sleep in!! ALOT!! Well that's about that for now folks... later!!

Big plans for tonight

Tonight I'm going to meet Jake in Boise... I'm going to leave here at about 5 or so (still 2 hours 45 minutes away...), and be at Boise State's SUB at 6, where I'll meet Jake. I'm going more to meet Jake than I am to dance... I'm really not a person who dances alot. But it'll be worth it anyway!!

Tomorrow I have to take photos at my school's Prom, so I'll get home at like 11 tonight from meeting Jake, and I'll probably get home around midnight tomorrow after Prom.

And I'm off of that Darvocet, which is GREAT!! That stuff is a good pain killer, but it really made me tired. So right now I'm on Tylenol, which works about as good, but it wears off faster.

Really tired... called Brandon... may meet Jake... more college stuff!!

Today was "Senior Skip Day" at school... well I skipped kinda early: I was home yesterday recovering from having those wisdom teeth pulled. During my American Government class, there was like 7 people there, so we didn't do much.

Yeah, and this medicine that I'm on is draining me!! I'm sooo tired right now... ::yawns::

When I got home from school today I called Brandon, and we talked for about an hour. I really don't know what the chances of us meeting are, but he seems really nice. So after talking for about an hour, his phone started beeping at him because it was dying, and he had some stuff to do anyway.

And today in the mail I got a letter from the University of Idaho, saying that I've been accepted there. They also gave me a neat little window sticker thingy :) Afterwards I called North Idaho College because I haven't received anything from them yet. They said that they got my FAFSA information, and that here in a few weeks I should be getting more stuff from them. Cool!! So then I called the UofI... and after a few minutes of talking to the lady from there, she said that I earned a $4,000 Pell Grant, and that I can also get a $2,625 Subsidised Student Federal Loan!! WOOHOO!!

After I was done calling all these places, the phone rang again, and it was Jake. He wanted to know if I had talked to my mom about going to the dance in Boise tomorrow. Well... hehe... I still need to talk to my mom about it. I mentioned it to her this morning, but she gave me the usual "we'll talk about it when you get home from school" stuff. That was kinda hard since when I got home I had to call the colleges, take my brother into Caldwell so that he could drop off some DVDs, then when I finally got home from doing all that, my mom had to leave for the evening... *grr* So when she gets home tonight I'll talk to her about it. Oh, and up until today I didn't know that there's a softball game tomorrow, and the team won't get back until 7:30 or 8... and the dance starts at 8... so during lunch I talked to the softball coach (who's also my American Government teacher) and the first thing he asked me was how I was feeling. I said I was doing fine, then he asked me if I was going to the game tomorrow. I said that I had made plans earlier in the week to meet one of my friends in Boise that night, before I knew of the game. He said that if I wanted to go that was okay with him, and that I'm not under any obligation to take stats, since I'm doing it out of free will. But I really don't think that will fly over with my mom... so we'll have to see how that goes.

In the mail today (like USPS mail... not email) I got a letter from Boise State saying that I have been accepted. That's fine... but out of the three colleges in Idaho that I've been looking at, BSU was/is 3rd...

Feeling felt guilty, and still feeling sore

Last Wednesday I was talking to Ben on AOL... Ben went to the same school that Jake goes to, so I asked Ben if he could sent me a photo of Jake, since up until that point I had no clue what Jake had looked like. Ben sent me his photo, and so now I know what Jake looks like. Only thing is... I did all of this without asking Jake if it was okay with him. Naturally, a week passes and now I feel all guilty that I did this behind Jakes back. So I sent Jake an email this afternoon:

And I feel guilty for doing this, but I might as well tell you now... and you have every right to be mad at me and whatnot...

Last week I was talking to Ben (he has a profile up on XY and PlanetOut) and... the short part is that I asked him if he could send a photo of you to me... he went to your school, adn he had a yearbook from there. He used his webcam to take it and send it out to me.

Right now I'm feeling really guilty that I asked Ben to do that for me behind your back... and like I said you have every right to be mad at me for doing it. If you are, I'm very sorry. And also... if you are ticked off at me... just let me know in an email and we'll talk about it. I just don't want my mom to know about all of this, so calling me to talk about it really isn't a good idea.

So... yeah... I still need to talk to my mom about going to Boise on Friday, but I'll keep you posted.

Later
~Mike

Later on in the day I checked my email again, and Jake replied me:

I have no reason to be mad. You wanted to know what I look like so you found out, Nothing more nothing less. So don't worry I am not in the least bit mad at you. Well now that you you know what I look like, what do you think? Neway I better get going TTYL
Jake

As for the whole Boise thing that I mentioned... this Friday a GLBT support group is sponsoring a dance, and Jake was planning on attending it. I'd like to go, but as my email said, I still need to talk to my mom about it first.

And I'm still feeling a bit sore from my dentist appointment yesterday. The pain killer that they gave me, Darvocet, really does a good job at keeping the pain in my mouth down, but it's not going well with my stomach. I suppose that a mild stomach ache is a good enough compromise for a tiny amount of pain in my mouth... Last night I could barely eat anything because I was doped up off of Novicane, and today I was eating like a cow!! Oddley enough, cold or hot liquids or foods don't seem to bother the exposed sockets all that much. But now it feels like I have a very bad cold... the back of my throat is all sore, and my skin feels cold and it's really sensitive. Today I stayed home, so when I get back to school tomorrow, I have... one... yeah one assignment that I have to turn in!! hehe... gosh sometimes I love school, you know?

AAAAAHH!!

Yeah, today I had my 3 of my wisdom teeth pulled out!! YOUCHY!! I'll be fine though... my dentist gave me a ton of Novicane... here it is almost 6:15, a whole 4 hours since I got the shot, and I still can't talk right. He did say that it may be like this for the rest of the day. They tried to give me some nitrus oxide (aka "laughing gas"), but they never did get it strong enough. After he pulled two of the teeth out, I felt like I was high on something!! (I've never taken illegal drugs before, but boy that stuff is whacky!!) But after the second tooth came out that they turned off the gas, since it really wasn't doing too much good.

Other than that, nothing really has happened today... I got an email from Jake, and he told me about a dance in Boise on Friday. I'll talk to my mom about it (not right now, I still can't talk right because of the Novicane) and I'll see if she'll let me go. Oh, that kinda hot sub was at my school today...

The next day or so won't be fun at ALL!! / tragic anniversary

And I'll tell you why!!
Tomorrow at 2:00 - dentist appointment to have three wisdom teeth pulled *YOUCHY!!*
And for the past few days I have been at a loss as to what to write an essay on for a $1,000 scholarship. Last year only two people received it... two. And like my chances of winning this scholarship is good?? Right... Just because back in 1999 someone at my school was one of the two in the entire state to win it does not mean that my chances are any better than they already are. Ugh... and all I have to write about is how a quote/song/part of a movie really means a lot to me. I listen to a fair amount of music, but I really can't think of any song that really holds a special place in my heart...

And like I mentioned, one year ago yesterday I lost two of my friends in a car wreck. Sadly enough, last night, less than two miles away from where the accident happened, a 6 year old and 15 year old were killed when they were playing at the base of a sand embankment. And on Saturday, also within two miles of where Pat and Matt were killed, a 4 year old boy was killed when he was accidentally shot by his friend, who found a loaded gun in an abandon truck. Really freaky, huh? And also last night, a professional drag racer, who had become very good friends of the family and friends of Matt and Pat, was killed when his beefed-up Mazda lost control while he was illegally drag racing outside of Boise. That area is like 35 miles away from where Matt and Pat were killed.

Last night my mom and I went to Big Lots (basically it's one of those closeout/surplus stores) and one of the guys there was HOT!! He had short blond hair up in spikes, small thin glasses, a bit of a 5 o'clock shadow... my kinda guy... but he had a real grouchy attitude towards the manager... I think his name was something like James... While I was frawning over him I saw some other guy who looked familiar... I really doubt it was Adam (my cousin, to some effect anyway)... maybe it could have been someone from Fruitland's basketball team... I dunno.

Hmm... this morning I had the chance to speak to a class at my high school about the power plant. As usual, most of the class was falling asleep left and right, but I didn't let it get to me. Afterwards I went to my 2nd hour class to get my bag. One of my really good friends, Macy, was there, and I talked to her for a minute, because I had to get to my next class. I told her about Brandon, and she remembered him quite well. She also said that she found some guys for me, I'm sure they still go to her old school, I'd have to ask. So I finished up my day at school and I went on home.

At home, I just spent a good hour or so on the internet, I started downloading a song then I went to Chevron to get a Pepsi. On the way there, I must have seen about three small dust devils (which are like small tornatos... only 40 feet tall or so, they just kick up some dirt and leaves, so they're really not dangerous). And Jonna "Burn-down-the-houses" Weber drove by me... God I really hate that lady...

Well, that's that for now!!

One year... continued...

Yeah... it's been one year since Patrick and Matthew were killed in a car wreck in rural southern Gem County (about 1 mile from Matt's house). Gosh... I can't even imagine how Phyllis and John (Patrick's parents) and Sam and Rhonda (Matthew's parents) are feeling like today... it must be SO hard for them right now...

Sheesh... it's just past 8:30... here I go putting things off again!! Tomorrow I'll put up a bigger post... I have stuff planned tomorrow so I'll actually have something to post!!

Guys, girl, and a car

Brandon and I have been emailing each other quite often the past few days, which is really good. We're at the point where we send about 3 emails a day to the other person, and he seems very nice and kind.

My dad has been looking at used cars... since his poor little Dodge is about to poop out on him. There's a place about 5 miles from here, it's a large piece of land by the interstate where the two highways intersect. On one of the corners there are a good amount of used cars for sale... people just park them there, slap a for-sale sign in the windows, lock em' up and hope for the best. One of the cars was a fairly old Dodge which my dad liked, but my mom and I didn't. My dad had to take my brother somewhere, and so my mom and I met the owner of this car at the land where it was. Inside it was clean, but it really showed its age. My mom drove it into town, and the engine sounded AWFUL!! When we got into town, she pulled it into the school parking lot and had me drive it. I drive it onto the highway, and I couldn't find the gas pedal!! It was very close to the drive shaft (or whatever that bump is in the middle of the floor in some cars). After finding the gas, I started accelerating... which was a big accomplishment since the engine was gutless. On the way back to where it was up for sale, there's a large hill. At the base of the hill, I had to slow down so that the person ahead of me could turn right. After he turned, I started accelerating again. The only thing is... the speed limit up the hill is 55. So I'm flooring the gas and this thing barely gets above 40. So yeah... my dad's not getting that car. Which is GREAT because the thing is an antique... and I would't be caught dead in that thing!!

Hmm... what else... I had to wake up at 7:30 this morning so that I could take my brother to work. He had to be there at 10, I'm just wondering why he wanted to get up 2 and a half hours beforehand... we could have gotten up at 8:45 and done just fine.

And also today I got an email from that person from Minnesota who's been reading this alot. I've been to Minnesota before, and I like it alot. I'm just not used to the wind... I live in a valley surrounded by mountains, and the mountains scrape off alot of the wind. Much to my suprise, the person is female... I was kinda assuming since I'm bisexual and that I mention guys alot that it would be someone alot like me reading it. But apparently it doesn't bother her at all that I'm a little out in left field. :)

Whole bunch of stuff...

Okay, I met a new guy online, kinda gawked over a substitute teacher, and like I mentioned last night, I have one incredible sunburn on my face.

First things first... the new guy. After I got home last night from being barbecued I hopped online and made my rounds through the personals sites, and I found me a nice lookin' guy from the other side of the valley. Looking over his profile, he said that he works at a fabric and craft place, which kinda caught me off-gaurd, but then again I've been known to buy quite a bit of stuff at those stores :) Mostly I buy some gel pens that strike my fancy, which I use for school for about two weeks before I loose them or someone steals them, and I have a few candle holders that I've bought from there. So before I got off the internet for the night I dropped him a line, and when I checked my email at school this morning I had a reply. Then I sent him a small email during 2nd hour, and he replied that!! What a punctual boy!! And after I'm done with this I'll email him back.

And I swear, with these gay/bi personals sites, Idaho is SO not represented!! Provided that we're not the most open-minded state, but it's one of those once-in-a-blue-moon deals when anyone actually places an ad. Most of the time when I go to them, there's hardly any new guys up there.

Gosh I am so hopped up off of caffine... my god... I swear right now I'm so friggin' hyper!! *takes a sip of Pepsi* hehe... yeah I'm really bad I know!

And like I mentioned who knows how long ago, the computer teacher whom I'm an aid for is off on maturnity leave, and the substitute for her had plans yesterday and today, so he was gone. Hold on a sec... rewind... Yesterday morning I was outside infront of the school, watching the students drive into the parking lot and enter the building, getting some fresh air. This silver car drives up and out comes this guy... maybe in his early 20s, not quite 25. He had on olive colored carpender jeans on, along with a yellow and green dress shirt, with blond hair up in short spikes and a bit of a stubble on his face. Purty cute :) He went through the main doors to the office to check in and get a key to the classroom, and after he entered, I followed him in. I swear I must have walked by him about 6 times while he was waiting to get into the office. And in the process of me checking this guy I out, I almost walked into a group of girls who were just coming out of another hallway. Well anyway, turns out he was the sub for the sub (go figure that out) for the teacher who's on maturnity leave. So 5th hour comes around and he's the sub. Even though I was in his class the whole class time, I never did get his name. But the class time did give me time to check him out some more. So after looking this guy over for about 20 minutes, I came to the conclusion that he's not all that hot... his eyes kinda spoiled it... they were too close together and sunk in too much.

Yesterday I had to take softball stats at Emmett at their high school (aka "Dolly Parton High").

And knowing me, I forgot to put on sunscreen on, and none of the girls had any with them. You can probably imagine what three and a half hours in the sun does to someone with fair skin. My arms and legs got a nice tan, but my face is kinda red. And during the 4th inning (I think it was the 4th) a fly ball from the JV softball game landed about two feet to the right of me, which scared the hell out of me!! So I threw the scorebook on the ground and walked around a bit, just to get the tension off of me. Before the game I went into the high school to find a restroom... those domes are neat inside!! Sure they look like an igloo prison because they don't have any windows, but it's one of the few schools that use them. The only place in the valley that uses dome buildings like Emmett High is a church in Caldwell off of I-84.

Hmm... looks like I use the word "so" as much as I use those little elipses thingys...

Well... that's about that for now... I still need to type up an email for Brandon (the new guy). Later folks!!

Long story and I'm short on time... I was outside for three and a half hours, and I have VERY fair skin, so right now I'm one crisp hombre!!

Well... later folks (when I have time to actually write something... I have to get ready for bed now)

Ben came back!!

Last night I was on AOL... talking to someone... and Ben pops on. He lives about 30 miles away from me... we started emailing and talking on AOL back in November or so, but I haven't heard him since late December. I was online for quite a bit (25 minutes or so) when he came on, so by the time all was said and done my mom was yelling at me because I've been tying up the phone line for just over an hour. While I was talking to him Amanda got on, and I gave her the address for my Blogger.

hehe... 5th hour at school I'm a teacher's aid for one of the computer teachers, and right now she's off on maturnity leave, so for the rest of the year we have a sub. Now, this sub's voice reminds me alot of my biology teacher (who kinda has a sqeaky voice too) I had my sophomore year, and he likes the word "dude"... he says it somewhat loudly and quickly. I walked into the classroom and I set my bag and coat down on one of the corners of the classroom, and he looks at me and says "dude!". The tone of his voice set me aback... I thought he was getting after me because I did something wrong. But instead he just said a friendly, "hey". I replied with a quiet "hi". Later in the hour, he took the class across the hall to the art room, which has a computer hooked up to a projector, which shines onto a wall, essentially making a monitor about 4 feet tall and 6 feet wide. He has a 27" TV in his classroom that's hooked up to a computer, but it's really hard to read stuff off of it. Anyway, so he's showing the class how to set up a server to host a web page, and sitting on the table next to me was a little piece of paper that said "dude" in capital letters. When he was done with his little presentation, I took that little piece of paper and showed him. He just looked at me and started laughing... then he placed the paper back on the table.

Today was okay... I got some work done on my English paper, but there's still a ways to go. When I get to school tomorrow morning, I'll go over it with my English teacher, and then work on it some more during 1st or 5th hour, then turn it in during lunch.

First day back

From spring break that is... nothing all that much has changed though. This morning I went in to school, had some breakfast, and then I had to cut some paper into halves. A floral place here in town took out half page inserts in the paper, and I had to use the paper cutter to cut all 300 copies into halves. Fun fun... only took about 5 minutes or so.

So class starts, pretty much a normal day. Then the vice principal gets on the horn and said that starting next Monday, the school will open up at 8 am... instead of 7:15 like it is now. Needless to say I am VERY TICKED OFF about that!! I mean, I get done eating my breakfast at 7:40 or so... what am I supposed to do for 20 minutes? Sit on my ass and twittle my thumbs?? And all of this was stemming from vandalism done to the school. The only vandalism that I know of was the week before spring break, someone threw a rock through a window from the outsite. Yeah, like that makes sense... lock the inside of the door so that no one can break a window with a rock... smooth thinking...

Last night at like 10, one of my teachers calls me... (the teacher that's moving to Nebraska). She was supposed to arrive in town from Nebraska yesterday morning, but she was very sick with the flu, so she decided to come back today (hopefully). She called to make sure I knew how to get to the church where her cousin's daughter was to be married, and to clear up a few other things in regards to me taking photos at the wedding. Today after school I got home, hopped online for a bit, talked to Shawn and Ty at the same time, then I got ready to leave for the wedding. I got to the church okay, and I took three rolls of film :) But on one of the rolls, I had the exposure set wrong, so that not enough light went through. I told that to Leonard and Robbin (the parents of the groom) and they said that was okay, since I was not the only one with a camera, that they could get some prints from other people if mine came out too dark. So I'll get paid for that, and tomorrow I get paid for helping my mom's boss move. For once I'll have some money!! That I can use when I visit Jake and Shawn this weekend (if all goes as planned, of course) My mom gave me a check so that I could fill up the gas on the van, but I was running late so I didn't go to the Texaco here in town, but I stopped by one on the way home. I didn't know for sure whether or not they'd take the check, since my mom filled it out and I was using, but they said it was no problem as long as I had ID on me, which I did.

Hmm... wedding today... softball stats tomorrow... more softball on Thursday... somewhere in there I have to get some more help on my outline for my senior paper... I have my work cut out for me, huh? Oh, my sister ate most of my Easter candy (lol... I'm 18 and my mom gave me this big race car thing made of chocolate)... so I'm mad at her. Provided that I get paid tomorrow, on the way home from school I'll stop by the hardware store and get a locking door knob so that way only me, my brother and my parents can get into my room, because we'll all have keys. lol, and I'm here in the same clothes that I wore to the wedding... so I'm lazy some times!

Welll... TTFN folks!!
