| you wanna read this... I know you do! :) all about a bisexual 18 year old male from idaho... a look back at the last week of my life... how I'm feeling: |
|
Wednesday, January 30, 2002 Would now be a good time to step out of the closet?Note:I typed this up last night when I was VERY upset with my mom… I’ve cooled off A LOT since I typed this up… It’s something that I’ve been pondering the past few months… now that I have been talking to about 4 people who are really interested in me that live close by. There’s other people that I talk to on AIM and occasionally on MSN that live in different parts of the US, and that’s kinda become an unusual – not an obsession – it’s like I go insane if I don’t get the chance to talk to one of them through AIM or MSN. And I’m to the point where I’m in communication with what seems like too many people. It started out with Jeffery and Nick (both of whom hold a special spot in my heart) to the point where I have 27 people on my AIM buddy list, and it’s hard of keeping track of what I told whom and what screen name belongs to what person blah blah blah… I’m not against having friends, but it’s gotten to the extend where I seem to have too many people that I have to keep organized… UGH!! PARENTS!! Okay, so I’m typing this up, AND MY MOM COMES IN… GETS AFTER ME FOR BEING ONLINE (which I WAS NOT) AND THEN SHE READS ALL OF WHAT I AM TYPING!! WHY THE F*** IS SHE DOING THIS?? “Who are these people? 27 people? What’s AIM? What’s MSN?” She’s been noticing that I’ll minimize windows (usually an instant message or Outminds.com, something like that) when she enters the room, then I’ll open up a new IE window and go to Yahoo or something – basically covering my ass so that she won’t kick it out of the house. God, and like an hour ago she’s telling me that she’s not trying to invade my privacy and stuff. HELLO!! WE HAVE A 19 INCH MONITOR!! YOU CAN READ STUFF ON IT FROM A MILE AWAY!! So what if I’m breaking one of her STUPID rules that she made up back when we first got the internet long ago… I’m not afraid of contacting people online, as long as they’re close to my age. She’s stuck on the old wives tales of the internet. No, we cannot be traced because we have a STATIC IP ADDRESS!! IT CHANGES EVERY TIME WE SIGN ON!! Most of the people that I’ve been in contact with know my last name. BIG F***ING DEAL!! I know most of theirs anyway. Oh, while they’re at it, they can go to ANY WHITE PAGES DIRECTORY on the internet AND YOU CAN FIND OUR ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER!! If that freaks the hell out of her, then she better yell at QWest to make us become unlisted!! And if it makes them feel any better, the people locally that I’ve been emailing and instant messaging DON’T KNOW MY LAST NAME!! And I DON’T KNOW THEIRS EITHER!! And NO, I HAVE NOT given out my social security number, NO I HAVE NOT given out my driver’s license number, GET OFF OF MY ASS AND LEAVE… ME… ALONE!! AHH!!Even if my parents ban me from the computer here at home, I can still send out email and do everything else that I normally can from this computer, except for instant message. Which will my parents chew me up for the most… being bisexual or me communicating and *socializing* with people? Yes, I DO have a social life… YES I DO have friends here… YES I DO have friends online that I’ve never met… God I’ve been talking to Jeffery since June of LAST YEAR… I consider him A CLOSE FRIEND… And YES, if all goes well I may have a BOYFRIEND here before long… whom I met *gasp* ONLINE!! If she weren’t so worried about every damn thing, then maybe she’d know ALL ABOUT THIS!! I’ve only driven to Boise TWICE on my own, only because she gets worried that something will happened. Umm… Mom… I hate to break it to you… but in July I’m moving to Coeur d’ Alene. Yeah, that’s a 475 mile drive… whatta ya gonna do? FOLLOW ME THE WHOLE WAY UP THERE? Hmm… last time I checked I was almost 18… THAT MEANS I’M ALMOST LEGALLY AN ADULT… WHY THE F*** IS MY MOM TREATING ME LIKE A 9 YEAR OLD?!?! posted by Mike @ 6:02:17 PM / LINK / /Monday, January 28, 2002 Close Call? / Hello… anyone in there? So today I got home and (after my mom getting after me for being on the internet) talked to one of my friends on AIM. I’m not saying who it is, it’s not like it matters any, but I know that he reads this, and I want to respect his privacy to everyone else while still being able to tell what happened. Anyway, we were talking, and he said that he wasn’t feeling good. Then he told me that he was thinking of committing suicide tonight. Ugh… here’s where it gets tricky… He’s boyfriend wants to move to New York City for some reason, and it’s really bugging him, that and some other things. This wasn’t his first time contemplating suicide, but still it’s serious nonetheless. He told me that he hadn’t had any of his friends killed (due to car accidents, cancer, drugs, suicide, etc.), so I told him about two of my best friends that were killed back in April of last year, and how much it affected me, the students and faculty at school, and their parents. I really don’t consider myself any kind of counselor or anything, so I was just telling him what I had gone through after having my two friends killed. There were a few times when I’d send him an instant message, and I wouldn’t get anything back, so I sent him another, then he’d reply that one. And boy that nearly drove me insane… he got me so worried… then doesn’t respond to my message… anyway… I had to leave, and he said that he’d keep safe, let’s hope to God that he keeps his word and that he won’t do anything to himself! And on a relatively better note (kinda), I got an email from Scott this morning, turns out he’s only out to his mom, step dad, one of his sisters, a teacher, and to me. I tried talking to him at lunch today, but he seemed more interested in talking to his friends, which is okay with me. Hmm… what else… Other than it’s a Monday, and I’m kinda tired, there’s really not all that much going on… Ugh… chicken for dinner… I HATE FRIED CHICKEN! It’s just too… ew! posted by Mike @ 4:03:30 PM / LINK / /Saturday, January 26, 2002 I Saw the Flame!Yesterday I was taping Channel 2 News at 6:30, because they had video of the Olympic torch passing through my area. So I was watching the TV as the VCR taped, and low and behold, there’s one of my friends! There’s Kevin jogging alongside the torchbearer as it went through Nampa – and I taped it because it’s one of those rare, once-in-a-lifetime events, I had no clue at all that Kevin was even in the package! He’s in the pic that Channel 2 has on their webpage, http://www.kbcitv.com/news/storyolympics.asp?ID=39667, but I’m not telling which one is Kevin :) Despite the fact that I had to get up at 4:45 this morning (I’m SO not a morning person!) to take a 90 minute bus ride to Mountain Home, today was a VERY GOOD day for me! A current student (Vanessa) as well as a former student (Zeb) of my high school carried the Olympic torch through Mountain Home earlier today. I went to go take pictures, and then some. We left here at 6:00 am to get to Mountain Home, we got there at about 7:30. Along the trip to Mountain Home on I-84, we were about 1 mile behind the convoy that carried the torch from Boise to Mountain Home (the torch is carried via vehicle on long stretches, Boise to Mountain Home is about 75 miles with only desert between them). So a ways in front of us I could see about 20 vehicles all packed together with police escorts at the front and back. Traffic coming in the opposite direction on I-84 would bottleneck when they were near the torch, but it soon alleviated once they drove past it. Zeb, who has MD, carried the torch first through the city, followed by about 5 other people, then Vanessa carried it. I didn’t have a chance to get pictures of Vanessa, but I got plenty of Zeb. As you may have seen on TV, there’s one person that carries the torch while 2 or 3 are off to the sides. Turns out that one of the person off to Zeb’s side was one of my friend’s father! So after Zeb passed off the torch to the next person, my friend’s father was talking to some of his family, and as I walked by, he removed himself from the conversation and then the two of us talked for a little bit. I got back home from Mountain Home at about 11:15, then soon after I came home my sister had a little temper tantrum (she’s 13, but she has ADHD and autism, so she’s like a 5 year old stuck in a 13 year old body). During her little fit she threw the VCR remote at my mom, which hit her left eye and put a small cut on her nose, not to mention it bruised all around her eye. So needless to say my little sister is in a lot of trouble. posted by Mike @ 2:24:56 PM / LINK / /Thursday, January 24, 2002 Time for an updateToday I dropped off some applications in Eagle, and I had to stop by Hollywood Video to fill out one of their application on some computer thing. That wasn’t the bad part – the bad part was that some of the keys made this clicking sound that drove me INSANE! So 20 minutes and god knows how many screens later off of that computer, I was done! Then I went to the Albertson’s next door to use the restroom, got a pop, and get some change for a $5 so that I could wash the van. So I then drove to a car wash, and got the van washed. There were two 17 or so year olds in the bay next to me, and afterwards we talked. Most of the foam from the soap ended up on me when I rinsed it off with the sprayer. But all in all the van is clean, and I got to socialize with some hot guys from Eagle. On the way back home I had to stop by one of the places that I had applied at to check a little box on the application. Well, to be brief, I didn’t realize that she was in a meeting, and so she didn’t seem real happy with me. But if I don’t get hired there, I’m sure that some other place will. Tomorrow is my school’s Tip-Off game, against Payette (::drools::), and on Saturday morning I have to get up at 4:30, be at the school before 6 so that I can take a bus to Mountian Home to watch a student and a former student from my school carry the Olympic torch. Then on Saturday is another basketball game, followed by a dance that NO ONE will attend (simpy because it’s a dress-up dance, I’ve heard a lot of students say that they’re not going), so I’ll follow suite by not going. Oh… what else… hmm… that’s about it for now I suppose… posted by Mike @ 5:53:17 PM / LINK / /Tuesday, January 22, 2002 Found someone who’s gay……and he goes to my school! Yesterday I made an account on PlanetOut, and afterwards I searched for people in my area. So I see this one profile, and he seems interesting, so I click on it, and up comes a picture of a student that goes to my school! Even better, "Scott" had three pictures up… so I know for sure it’s him. I could tell all along that he's gay… just seeing his ad on PlanetOut confirmed that my suspicions were right! He was in my economics class last semester, and he always pointed it out when we wore the same pair of cargo jeans. And he works at a grocery store that’s about ½ of a mile from my house. Even though we see each other so much, I really see us as "jsut friends". So yeah… that’s that. And while I was on PlanetOut yesterday I found someone from Nampa, and him and I talked with Shawn a little bit today. *getting off on a tangent* Like… 10 years or so ago I had some friends (two brothers) who lived on the other side of the subdivision. I haven’t talked to them since they moved, but their mom and my mom seem to cross paths every so often. Anyway the last time that our parents met, their mom said that one of her sons was a cheerleader at the same school Shawn goes to. Well, as it turns out Shawn knows my two friends that I haven’t seen for a long time. He’s in the closet quite a ways too, but know knows… something may happen between me and Scott, or Shawn, or Ty… but it’s a matter of time though. posted by Mike @ 4:04:30 PM / LINK / /Monday, January 21, 2002 Survey1.What time is it? 2:05 PM posted by Mike @ 1:27:32 PM / LINK / / Sunday, January 20, 2002 Grizzly guys are HOT – but they killed the Vikings :(Fruitland Grizzlies that is… Fruitland is a city about 35 miles away. Yesterday I called the guys basketball coach to see if I could bump a ride with the team on the bus to Fruitland so that I could take pictures and write a story about it for the school paper. I called Coach Karst’s house at 11 yesterday morning, and his little daughter answered the phone. She handed the phone to her mom, and she said that Coach Karst was at the high school with the team at a small practice. So I borrowed my brother’s bike (my dad took the van to work, and I can’t drive stick so I couldn’t take his car there) and went down to the school. I talked to Coach Karst, and he said that I could go. He said that they’d leave at about 5:30. I charged up the battery for the camera, and at 5 I left. I had to stop by the store in town to get some ChapStick (because of the wind… not for something else… I’m still a virgin… remember?) and to cash a $10 check. I made it to the school at 5:20, and by 5:25 we were off. We got to Fruitland High School at about 6, and we arrived with 6 minutes left in the freshman game. I talked to this hot guy at the concession stand, but all of a sudden all these people came, so I left for a few minutes, then I went back and talked some more. All in all, I was at FHS for about 4 hours, and I spent a majority of the time staring at like 5 guys… two of which I swear were gay… but they were both stuck in this big crowd of FHS students watching the game. Up until this game, Middleton has been undefeated, but not anymore… the score in the end: Fruitland 73, Middleton 65. So yeah, it was kinda sad that they murdered us, but the trip out there was well worth it – for the guys – regardless of whether or not we won. And today we got a TON of snow… I woke up at 9 this morning and it was snowing, and it still is! We have nearly 4 inches in some spots here in the valley… Bogus Basin could easily get 8 or 9 more inches today. posted by Mike @ 1:36:04 PM / LINK / /Friday, January 18, 2002 Stuff that I forgotFor one, today is my little sister's 13th birthday... you feel REALLY old when you littlist sibling is a TEENAGER! Also, I took this picture a few weeks ago, thought that the monster thing was kinda cute :) Tuesday, January 15, 2002 GUYS GUYS GUYS!Tonight I have to take pictures of the guy’s basketball game. So that’ll be fun. Guys + me = :-) Yesterday I went into Eagle to get some job applications, since, you know, I’m 17, going to college in like 9 months, AND I DON’T HAVE A JOB! Got some of them filled out, and I have to drop them off tomorrow and also stop by Hollywood Video to fill out an electronic application over there. I drove into Eagle myself, and I never knew that Eagle had so many hot guys! The bag boys at Albertsons, the workers behind the counter at Starbucks, everywhere are these really hot guys! Anyway, enough of that… So yeah, I just gotta drop off all these applications and see if any place is interested in hiring me. For the last week or so, my lips have really been chapped (don’t go getting the wrong idea here folks…). Maybe it’s just one of those things that come along with winter, with it’s cold, sharp winds, who knows. So I’ve been putting on Carmex every hour or so, and that’s helping out a lot. posted by Mike @ 3:45:55 PM / LINK / /Sunday, January 13, 2002 Where’s Ben?Today I got an email from Alex, wondering if I had talked to Ben anytime recently. I told him that I hadn’t, and that on Wednesday of last week I sent out an email to him, and I haven’t received a reply from him yet. Alex lives like a few blocks away from Ben, and anyway I really don’t think anything will really ever come of Ben and myself, other that being “just friends” if anything. And for most of the day I was at my grandmother’s in Boise. Now that my family has this new computer, there wasn’t much of a use for the old one, so we gave that one to her. On the way there my mom stopped at a Kmart to pick up a small 13” TV to give to my grandmother as well, since she needed one. It was more of a belated Christmas gift. My little sister’s friend decided to come along too, so her and my sister were giggling and laughing most of the way there, and here’s myself along with my brother and mom all stuck in the same vehicle, suffering. But all in all we accomplished quite a bit. Tomorrow I start my new schedule (I just realized that I’ve been spelling “schedule” wrong all this time) at school, so that will be a BIG relief from what I had before! posted by Mike @ 5:25:33 PM / LINK / /Thursday, January 10, 2002 One more day, one more testTomorrow I have to take my English test, then I'm DONE FOR THE SEMESTER! And next week I start my new schedual, which finally got fixed so that I have a different American Government teacher, I'm a teacher's aide for the computer teacher 5th hour instead of 2nd. Only one of the teachers have changed, and all but one of the class times have changed as well. Now all I have to do is GET A JOB now that I have more time for one. On the front page of this morning's paper was a great photo that was taken at the Idaho Statehouse yesterday. Back in April, 2 of my friends were killed in a car wreck, and the mother of one of them is pushing very hard to make not wearing a seat belt a primary offense, which means that you can be pulled over for not wearing one. Yesterday, her and about 50 other people held a rally at the Statehouse, and they showed a picture with a lot of people that I know. It was just a very touching picture, and I thought that I'd mention it. posted by Mike @ 5:58:46 PM / LINK / /Wednesday, January 09, 2002 Ahh...!Blogger's bogged down! I can't publish any of my stuff! Maybe... I'll have to check... nope, didn't work. I'll just try later today... posted by Mike @ 2:57:58 PM / LINK / /So much stuff, so little time!Let's see, I'm like REALLY BUSY! *Screams* I had two semester tests today, and one on Friday. Thank goodness I only have three tests though! Yesterday I got home early (like I usually do on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and got online and there was Ty. Apparently he too has a short schedual at school as well. So we talked for a little bit, noting in particular though. I started downloading some songs (Sting - Desert Rose and Bryan Adams, Sting, and Rod Stewart - All for One) while I did some homework for English. Following that was more homework for American Government. And I just now realized that I did the wrong part of one of the assignments. Eh well, I'd rather get a low grade on a small assignment than no grade. Later that evening I was in the Outminds chat room, and Anthony (from Arizona) and "BombPop" (from Ohio I think, but I still don't know what his name is though) were in there talking, along with Jeffery. Jeffery had to leave, so it was just Anthony and BombPop. Soon there after VolcanoChat (the service that Outminds uses for their chatroom) went down on us, so we ended up talking on AIM in a chatroom that I started up once I figured out how to start one up. Anthony wanted to bring in some of his friends whom he had met on Outminds, and I agreed. Then BombPop felt like a dud and he left, so I was talking to Anthony and his two friends. After about 15 minutes, Anthony had to leave, as did I and one of his friends, so we pretty much called it a night, got off of AIM and we then went our own ways. Also yesterday I picked up a copy of the teacher's master schedual, and tried my hand at creating a schedual that will work for me. I talked to one the counselers, and she said just to give her this blue form and she'd put it in the computer, so next week I may have new English and American Government teachers! Once I turn in the paper today though. posted by Mike @ 2:57:10 PM / LINK / /Monday, January 07, 2002 Ew...Okay, I'm walking home from the store, and by our driveway, in the gutter by the storm drain is this really big part of a dead animal. It's like the hips and part of the lower spine of something, like a cat, but that’s it, I haven’t found anything else. Now that really has me worried because we have two cats, and whenever we don't see one of them at least once a day, it starts getting everyone in the family worried. Most of the flesh was off of whatever the thing is/was. *gags* One of our cats is still wandering around the house, but we still haven’t seen the other one. And this Monday starts off a week of reviews and test for the semester. Fun. Actually, the ball's in my court because I only have three tests instead of seven that most are taking. And sometime this week I need to talk to the counselers to see if I can get next semester's schedual changed so that I have a different teacher for English and American Government, and take out my teacher’s aid class. Hopefully that will open up 6th and 7th hours, then maybe I can get a part time job. If I have 6th and 7th hours open, then I can leave school at 12:45, eat, and be at work at 1:30. And even if I start out at 25 hours a week, I can still be able to take pictures of sporting events. I’ve also been having some very odd dreams lately too. Like early this morning I had a dream that I was in my back yard, which has the highway right behind it. It was dark, and there were three semis that were following each other. The semi in the front came to a sudden stop, and the middle semi crashed into the first, and the third semi crashed into the middle one. I saw someone in the middle semi who was thrown out of the back window of his semi (rather odd considering that semis don’t have rear windows) and I could hear him yell at first, followed by loud moaning. I called 911, and I had this stupid automated system that really confused me. Soon thereafter I woke up. The previous morning I had a dream where my brother and I were driving around. He wanted a Mountain Dew, and I had wanted a diet Coke. So we stop at Edwards (a movie theater chain) and order a pop. Why we stop at a movie theater I don’t know, in reality you have to pay to get in, and then pay a ridiculous amount for the pop. Well anyway, we go up to the counter and ordered our drinks. The person behind the counter pours a small amount pop from a fountain machine, then fills up the rest of the cup with coffee. Upset, we reject the drinks and go to the other counter and order our drinks again. This time they fill even a smaller amount into a shot glass, then he fills it up with coffee AGAIN. Eventually the two of us gets home, and as I pull up into the driveway, there’s Nick. I don’t remember what he said, but he had a definite accent to his voice. posted by Mike @ 8:11:08 PM / LINK / /Sunday, January 06, 2002 Lightning never strikes the same place twice......or does it? At 3:30 this morning I was woke up by... yep... a CANYON COUNTY SHERIFF!! Flashing lights, siren, a gunning engine in a Crown Victoria, the whole nine yards. Don't they have some kind of night-time policy that prohibits them from having their sirens blaring? If not, then they should! I'm tired of being woke up at odd hours by emergency vehicles! I know darn well that they are protecting and servicing the public, but they don't need to wake up half of the city at 3:30 in the morning, letting everyone know that they're protecting the public. Okay... enough of my ranting on that... And on Saturday I had to go take pictures of a girls basketball game. I got there at 6:45, even though the Varsity game didn't start until 8. So I watched the last half of the JV game while munching some nachos and gulping a diet Coke. Me being my mostly homosexual self went there wearing some nice cargo pants with a tight-fitting ribbed black t-shirt that was tucked in. I was talking to Macy, and I asked her if I looked too queer, she's just said, "yep", while nodding her head slightly. After using up the whole roll of film in the first half, I watched the third quarter, then left for home since it was almost 9:30 and I was tired. Before I left though, one of the players from Melba (the opposing team) tried to make a basket, and instead the ball tore off some of the padding around the backboard. So our Athletic Directer came out with a volleyball ref's stair thing and with a roll of packaging tape, and then he taped the padding back up to the backboard. Not to mention, for being a home game, the crowd was almost nonexistant. Normally at least 1/2 of the stands are full, but with this game, it was more like 1/4 full. Who know's why it was like that, but it's just a game, and not a population contest. Also at the game, someone from Melba made a call home from the pay phone in the lobby of the gym. It must have been some kind of family emergency - she seemed really frazzled out. Anyway, she hangs up the phone and waits by it for a few minutes. Impatient, she then leaves, then the phone rings about a minute later. And rings. And rings. And rings. And rings. And rings some more... All in all it must have rang about 15 times before it quit. A few minutes go by. It starts ringing agian. Like last time, it rings about 15 times. Then it quits again. Then it starts ringing again! This time it only rang about 10 times. Okay, there are about 500 people in the gym, and about 20 in the lobby (myself included) and no one answers the phone! I swear I felt so sure that someone must have been hidden with a camera, taping for Candid Camera or something. I can just see some guy saying, "I'll call 585-9901 and let the phone ring and ring and ring until someone answers it! And we'll have a hidden camera on them the whole time!" Yes, I did go up to the phone to see what it's number was. Before I left for the game I was talking to Jeffery, and he sent me some pics of himself that he took with his webcam, he's a cutie :) He has some of them up on his page as well. posted by Mike @ 6:40:55 PM / LINK / /Saturday, January 05, 2002 Have some spare time on your hands?Cody was sitting at the same table I was during lunch yesterday at school, along with like 4 or 5 other guys. He was talking about something, then he looked at me and started talking about girls that he saw when he was in Florida over Christmas break, then he got off on this tangent and said, "Remember that Victoria's Secret show that they had on TV a few months ago? I swear I must have jerked off like 3 times when I was watching that" So I was there, sitting across from him at the table, almost breaking out with laughter. Then I'm thinking, "TOO MUCH INFORMATION", followed by, "3 times in an hour? DAMN THAT KID IS GOOD!" I mean, HELLO! 3 times in two hours is hard enough for me, 3 times in 1½ hours is near impossible for me! Anyway, yeah, you were probably just DYING to know that useless piece of trivia, huh? Now for some more serious stuff... Thanks to an ambulance that woke me up at 5:30 IN THE MORNING!! Sometimes I really hate living by the highway, just for that reason. I have a TON and a half of homework to do, and I have to take pictures of a girls basketball game tonight, so I'll be back home at maybe 9:30 or so, and then sleep like crazy! posted by Mike @ 1:06:00 PM / LINK / /Tuesday, January 01, 2002 *music* We're gonna party like it's nineteen-ninety-nine...Well, it's now 2002! Nothing too special this year, my brother and I played Crash Bandicoot from 10:30 at night until 1:30 this morning, with a quick break to watch the ball drop to bring in 2002. Ty and I talked a bit on AIM today... he lives in Meridian and works in Boise, and he really wants to meet me. Both of us are not out to our parents yet, just to our closest friends, and each other naturally. If everything goes as planned, I MAY see him this coming Sunday, but how great of a chance there is, I really don't know. It all depends on what time he's at work, and if I even go to Boise on Sunday or not. He seems really nice, but I still have no clue at all what he looks like. All I know is that he's 6' tall with brown hair in short frosted spikes. Another student that's in my yearbook class has a yearbook from Ty's high school during his freshman year, but Ty didn't know if he was in it. But if I do see him on Sunday, what difference will it make if he's in the yearbook or not? While we were on AIM, Jeff came on, and so I was talking to him and Ty at the same time. Trying to carry on a conversation with two people at once can be quite interesting! The whole time I was talking to them, my dad, brother, and sister were taking down the Christmas tree. My sister was getting very impatient over something, and eventually all three of them were mad at the other two. Unfortuantly I had to go out there and take off the lights, wrap them up, and put them away, while they were still upset. It was a good tree while it lasted... not to dry, fairly strong smelling, didn't loose all of it's needles. posted by Mike @ 4:32:26 PM / LINK / / |
